Birds made of flowers

red-hong-yi-flower-bird-series-designboom-03Red Hong Yi, a designer from Malaysia, used branches, chrysanthemums, and other plants to make a lot of lifelike birds. She suggested that, she started this series when she realized that flower petals – especially gerbera petals – look similar to feathers especially when they are arranged on top of one another, layer by layer.

After saw her works, I think that I can trying to apply some plants, like branches, petals, to make body parts of animals.
