Creative stamp designed by the animal protection organization- Pro Wildlife

As we know that, the single body part-like rhino horn, ivory and sharks fin can be illegally sold for huge sums of money, thus many people use high-powered technology and weaponry to track and kill many animals at once without being detected. So that, raising awareness of animal protection is the aim I will gain to and express to people through my works.

“Stamping down on poaching” is a creative campaign led by Pro Wildlife to raise awareness of wild animal protection. To achieve the awareness required, German angency Guertlerbachmann used a surprising and unseen medium – stamp. They actually designed a set of three donation stamps for Pro Wildlife. The stamp is part of a postcard and is exactly the part of an animal which is the trophy, such as the tusks of an elephant. 50 cents from the sale of each stamp went to Pro Wildlife. With the tagline “Every trophy costs a life. Your donation can save it.”, the campaign successfully raised a total of € 41,000 for Pro Wildlife.

Attitude of animal protection

I made a investigate about the attitude of animal protection, and what activities do you think will cause harm to animals. Therefore, I asked some people about these questions (at follow), and searched some information about these, finally combined them and made the pie chart.
Attitude of animal protection
  1. Won’t stop the behavior of maltreating animals
  2. Don’t care about it
  3.   Had participate in the activities of animal protection
  4.  Pay attention to this.
Nearly 50% people won’t stop the behavior of maltreating animal or don’t care about it

What activities will cause harm to animals?
Deforestation 83.33%
Environmental Pollution 66.67%
Hunting 76.5%

To sum up, nowadays, most of people don not pay attention to animal protection, even though many species are endangered which are caused by environmental pollution and hunting. Therefore, in my MA project, the aim of my work is to raise awareness of animal protection.

Awareness can save the earth.—–Fulvio G.M. Vignapiano, Italy

In order to get profit and medicinal value people mainly use high-powered technology and weaponry to kill the animal and make money illegally, which endangering many animals. Featured Image

For example, the rhino horn is believed to  treat a lot of diseases, such as hangovers, impotence, fever and cancer, although there is no proven cure. Ivory is usually carved into jewelry, utensils, religious figurines and trinkets.

According to the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), a non-profit organization, “At current rate of poaching, elephants, rhinos and other iconic African wildlife may be gone within 10 years.”

Therefore, nowadays, making people pay more attention to animal protection is the most significant. Fulvio GM Vignapiano made a poster which is about “Awareness can save the earth.” Although there is much potential value of animals, even their fur, bones and feathers are beautiful, they are a part of the animal, maybe they will die without those parts. No one in the world needs a rhino horn, but rhino. So stop poaching, and taking a moment to realize that God didn’t just create earth for us, but for animals also.

Endangered species-rhino

Rhino-Hero-Index” In ‘The matrix’,  program Smith said to a human: Don’t you know? I found that the human is not mammals, because each mammal can live peacefully with surrounding environment. However, for people, the thing that they can do is just destroy, and the only way to survive is changing another place and keep destruction, which like virus.

Rhino, a kind of endangered species, their safe habitat has been reduced by agriculture, urbanization, deforestation, pollution, and climate change, therefore leading them to die and hunted by people.

I found some information, which from the website-WWF (at follow), about rhino’s habitats that was destroyed by human as well as some solutions that WWF is doing to protect them.

Impact of pollution on species

Since human appeared, especially after the industrial revolution, there is not only increase in the percentage of population, but also in the scope of human activities, as well as influence on nature. Human changes to the environment — through agriculture, urbanization, deforestation, pollution, and climate change, and so on — have huge negative impact for animals. For example, leading to loss of forest, grasslands and rivers, instead of these is the highway, the farmland, the reservoir,  which makes a lot of animals die out, variation, meanwhile biological habitats are destroyed.

Around the world, wild animals  the places that they live in are disappearing fast. Steve Parker (2008) said the main problem is that people are causing huge damage to natural world. Scientists estimate that if there is no interference by human, nearly 90 kinds of vertebrates will die out in every 100 years. However, the rate of birds and mammals extinction has risen 100 times to 1000 times, which is caused by human. Stuart Pi mm (1991), the famous biologist of Duke University, suggested if species reduce at such rate, by 2050, a quarter to half of all species will extinct or endangered.

Pollution speed up the extinction of species. On the other hand, the extinction of species will makes the stead degradation of our quality of environment.

Steve Pollock (1990) suggested that people, like you and me, are a part of nature so taking out the blocks will harm us as well. Also, animals have amount of potential value, although large number of these values is unclear. Therefore, once kinds of animals die out, there is no more its potential value.
